Many of the guest children live in the big cities and are alienated from nature and animals. Farm holidays in South Tyrol offer a good chance to compensate for this deficit. With the farm animals, the guest children experience direct contact with the animals. They are enthusiastic about feeding the little bunnies and nurturing them almost every day. But they also show enthusiasm for the large animals such as cattle, horses or goats and look forward to the daily stable work.Through practical action, the children experience a sense of achievement and are happy when the animals are doing well.
The natural playgrounds on the South Tyrolean farms, as well as pure nature, are the ideal playground for children. Children quickly become inventive and occupy themselves with everything that happens around them. At the stream in the middle of the forest or on a sand hill, children shape and build for hours. In nature, all the senses are challenged. Great experiences are offered by barefoot paths or Feel Memory made of natural material.
Learning through play and exercise in nature is enormously important for children. The possibilities during a hike in nature are countless. Which animals live in the forest, what grows on which shrub? How does it feel to walk barefoot through the leaves, what bird calls can be heard............ and so on.
Being out and about in nature means being attentive, observing, children come to rest and learn appreciation.
